Article 6: "Don't Sell Your Saddle: A Mother's Guide to Balancing Passion and Parenthood"

__________________________________________________________________________________

She stands tall in her boots and hat,
A determined look upon her face,
With spurs upon her heels,
she's ready for the race.

She knows the course by heart,
Each twist and turn,
But the stubbornness within her,
Is always something to be earned.

With grit and grace, she rides on through,
A hard headed barrel racer true,
She'll push herself to the limit,
And come out on top, it's her pursuit.

She'll never give up, never back down,
For the stubborn streak runs deep in her,
With each turn of the barrel,
She'll prove her mettle, her spirit pure.

For in this rodeo game,
It's not just about the fame,
But the fire in her heart,
That will never be tamed.

She'll ride on, hard headed and strong,
A true cowboy, forever young,
For in the arena of life,
She'll always stand tall and never run.

As a mother, it can be difficult to balance the responsibilities of motherhood with the pursuit of one's passions. For many mothers who have a love for horseback riding, the idea of putting aside their saddle for a period of time can be daunting. However, it is important to remember that it is okay to take a break from horseback riding and focus on raising one's children.

While it may feel like the end of the world to put aside one's saddle for a period of time, it is important to remember that it is only temporary. The dust that may collect on the saddle during this time will not harm it, and soon enough, the mother will have the opportunity to dust it off and get back in the saddle.

Taking a break from horseback riding can also be emotional for a mother. It is completely normal to shed tears while rocking one's babies to sleep, and to feel like one is missing out on the horse work days. But it is important to remember that these baby work days are also incredibly important and they go by quickly. Before the mother knows it, her children will be old enough to join her in the field or arena and chase after cows together.

It is important for mothers to not give up on their dreams completely while they are taking care of their children. The time with one's children is precious and goes by quickly, but the mother will have plenty of chances to dust off the leathers and follow her children down a worn and dusty cow trail.

In conclusion, mothers who have a love for horseback riding should not feel guilty for taking a break from their passion to focus on their children. It is important to remember that this time is temporary and soon enough, the mother will have the opportunity to get back in the saddle and chase her dreams once again. As the poem goes, "Momma, don't sell your saddle or give up your dreams, cause soon enough you'll have plenty of chances to dust off the leathers and follow a child down a worn and dusty cow trail. Soon enough, you'll be chasing those babies on horseback...so ya better not sell your saddle."
